We depart immediately towards the Rif Mountains, enjoying a scenic 3-hour drive that showcases the lush, green landscapes of Northern Morocco. We will pass near the white city of Tetouan and wind through charming mountain roads, making several stops for panoramic photos along the way.
By midday, we arrive in Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue Pearl.” Nestled between two mountain peaks, this town is celebrated for its washed-blue buildings and peaceful vibe. You will have the rest of the day free to explore the Medina. Wander through the narrow, photogenic alleys, shop for local handicrafts (woven blankets and wool), and relax with a mint tea at a café in Plaza Uta el-Hammam, watching the world go by.
Overnight: Charming Riad or Hotel in Chefchaouen.
After a leisurely breakfast in the blue city, we continue our journey south towards Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco. The drive takes us through the rolling countryside and the fertile plains of the Saiss region. Upon arrival at your Riad in Fes, you will meet your Private Local Guide for an immersive tour of the Medina (Fes el-Bali).
This UNESCO World Heritage site is the largest car-free urban area in the world. Your tour will cover the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the golden gates of the Royal Palace, the historic Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate), and the Bou Inania Madrasa, a masterpiece of Marinid architecture. You will also see the Al-Qarawiyyin University (the oldest in the world) and witness the traditional leather-dyeing process at the famous Chouara Tanneries.
Overnight: Traditional Riad in Fes Medina.
On the final day of your tour, we depart Fes and head to the nearby imperial city of Meknes, known as the “Versailles of Morocco.” Here, you will explore the legacy of Sultan Moulay Ismail. We will visit the massive Bab Mansour, considered one of the most beautiful gates in North Africa, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and the Sahrij Swani, a massive water reservoir and granary complex.
After exploring Meknes, we take the highway towards the Atlantic coast to reach Casablanca. Depending on your schedule, we can make a brief stop to see the exterior of the majestic Hassan II Mosque before dropping you off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your memorable 3-day journey through Morocco.

Winter is great for travel as well, but nights in the desert can be cold—warm clothing is recommended.
