By early afternoon, we arrive in Chefchaouen, the world-famous “Blue City.” Nestled dramatically at the foot of the mountains, this town is a haven of peace and artistic beauty. You will have the remainder of the day free to explore the Medina, where every wall, door, and alleyway is washed in vibrant shades of blue.

Hike up to the Spanish Mosque (optional) for a breathtaking sunset view over the blue city.
Overnight: Charming Riad in Chefchaouen.
After a fresh mountain breakfast, we begin our journey into Morocco’s imperial history. Our first stop is Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. Here, you will walk among ancient basilicas, triumphal arches, and stunning mosaic floors that date back to the 3rd century.
We continue to Meknes, the “Versailles of Morocco.” You will stand before the massive Bab Mansour Gate, considered one of the most beautiful gates in the world, and visit the Royal Granaries.
In the late afternoon, we arrive in Fes, the spiritual and cultural capital of the Kingdom. You will check into your traditional Riad in the heart of the medina, where you can relax and enjoy a traditional dinner.
Today is dedicated to exploring the oldest city in Morocco with a Private Local Guide. You will step back in time as you enter Fes el-Bali, the world’s largest car-free urban zone and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The tour concludes with free time to wander the bustling Souks, filled with the scents of spices, perfumes, and leather, before returning to your Riad.
We leave the city behind for a day of diverse landscapes. Our first stop is Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” due to its alpine architecture and clean mountain air. We then cross into the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at the Azrou Cedar Forest to see the wild Barbary Macaque monkeys in their natural habitat.
After lunch in Midelt, the scenery shifts dramatically. We descend into the spectacular Ziz Valley, a vast canyon lined with thousands of date palm trees and fortified Kasbahs.
By late afternoon, the golden dunes of the Sahara appear on the horizon. We arrive in Merzouga, where you will check into your hotel near the dunes, enjoying a welcome mint tea and the first magical views of the desert sunset.
Today is fully dedicated to the magic of the Sahara. After breakfast, we take a 4×4 off-road excursion to explore the desert surroundings. We will visit the Khettaras (ancient underground irrigation channels) and the village of Khamlia, where you will listen to the spiritual Gnawa music performed by descendants of sub-Saharan Africans.
We continue across the desert plateaus to visit a Berber Nomad family, sharing tea in their tent and learning about their traditional lifestyle in this harsh environment.
The Highlight: In the late afternoon, you will meet your camel caravan. You will trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes as the sun sets, painting the sand in shades of gold and orange. You will arrive at your Luxury Desert Camp for a night of Berber drumming, a delicious feast, and sleeping under a canopy of stars.
We recommend an early wake-up to witness the silence and beauty of the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, we depart the desert and head west.
Our destination is the Todra Gorges, a massive fault in the plateau that divides the High Atlas from the Jebel Saghro. You will have time to walk along the riverbank, surrounded by vertical limestone cliffs rising 300 meters high—a paradise for climbers and nature lovers.
We continue along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing ancient mud-brick fortresses, before arriving in the Dades Valley. You will spend the night in a hotel nestled among the dramatic rock formations and winding roads of the gorge.
Our journey continues towards Marrakech, passing through the Rose Valley to reach Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Here, you can see the famous Atlas Studios, where movies like The Mummy and Game of Thrones were filmed.
A short drive away lies the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a striking example of southern Moroccan earthen architecture. After exploring this historic fortress, we cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m).
We arrive in the vibrant “Red City” of Marrakech in the late afternoon. You will have the evening free to witness the energy of the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, alive with storytellers, musicians, and food stalls.

We bid farewell to the south and head north via the highway to the Atlantic coast. Our first stop is Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. Here, you will visit the awe-inspiring Hassan II Mosque. It is one of the few mosques open to non-Muslims and boasts the tallest minaret in the world, built directly over the ocean.
After a scenic drive along the Ain Diab Corniche, we continue to Rabat, the political capital of Morocco. You will explore the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the picturesque Kasbah of the Udayas with its blue and white walls overlooking the river. Overnight stay in Rabat.
On our penultimate day, we drive north along the captivating Atlantic coastline. We stop at the artistic seaside town of Asilah. Known for its annual arts festival, the medina walls are covered in colorful murals and street art. You will have time to explore the whitewashed ramparts and enjoy the fresh sea breeze.
In the afternoon, we complete our loop by arriving back in Tangier. Before heading to your hotel, we will visit the legendary Hercules Caves and Cape Spartel, the precise point where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea—a perfect photo opportunity to end the trip.
Depending on your flight or ferry schedule, our driver will transfer you to Tangier Ibn Battuta Airport, the Tangier Ville Port, or Tangier Med Port.
