Itinerary

Day 1:Arrival in Casablanca – Hassan II Mosque – Rabat

Your grand Moroccan adventure begins with a personal VIP pick-up from Casablanca Mohammed V Airport (or your hotel). You will be welcomed by your professional English-speaking driver who will assist with your luggage.

Our first stop is the architectural masterpiece of Morocco: the Hassan II Mosque. Standing majestically on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, it boasts the tallest minaret in the world and intricate handcrafted mosaics. You will have time to admire the exterior and the ocean breeze.

Next, we take a short drive (approx. 1 hour) to Rabat, the political capital of Morocco. Here, you will visit the historic Kasbah of the Udayas, a fortress with blue and white walls overlooking the river, and the iconic Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret that stands as a symbol of the city’s rich history.

  • Overnight: Charming Riad or Hotel in Rabat.

Day 2:Rabat – Rif Mountains – Chefchaouen (The Blue Pearl)

After a delicious breakfast, we leave the capital and head north towards the Rif Mountains. The drive offers a peaceful change of scenery, passing rolling green hills, olive groves, and traditional rural villages.

By early afternoon, we arrive in Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue City.” Nestled between two mountain peaks, this town is celebrated for its washed-blue buildings and relaxed atmosphere. You will have the remainder of the day free to explore:

  • Wander the photogenic, narrow alleys of the Medina.

  • Shop for unique woven handicrafts and wool products.

  • Relax with a mint tea at a café in the main square, Plaza Uta el-Hammam, watching the world go by.

  • Overnight: Traditional Riad in the heart of the Blue Medina.

Day 3:Chefchaouen – Volubilis (Roman Ruins) – Meknes – Fes

Today we travel through history. We depart Chefchaouen in the morning and head south to Volubilis, the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. A UNESCO World Heritage site, you can walk among ancient mosaics, basilicas, and triumphal arches that date back to the 3rd century.

We continue to Meknes, one of the four Imperial Cities. Here, you will stand before the massive Bab Mansour Gate, considered one of the most beautiful gates in the Islamic world, and see the Sahrij Swani Granaries.

In the late afternoon, we arrive in Fes, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. You will check into your traditional Riad, your home for the next two nights.

  • Overnight: Authentic Riad in Fes Medina.

Day 4:Fes Sightseeing Tour (Guided Cultural Immersion)

Today is dedicated to a deep dive into Moroccan culture with a Private Local Guide. You will step back in time as you enter Fes el-Bali, the world’s largest car-free urban zone and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Your guided tour includes:

  • The Royal Palace: Admire the seven massive golden gates and intricate brass work.

  • The Mellah: Explore the historic Jewish Quarter with its unique architecture.

  • Al-Qarawiyyin University: View the exterior of the oldest operating university in the world.

  • Chouara Tanneries: Witness the iconic sight of leather being dyed in colorful stone vats using ancient methods (best viewed from the surrounding terraces).

The tour concludes with free time to wander the bustling Souks, filled with the scents of spices, perfumes, and artisans at work, before returning to your Riad.

Day 5:Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

We start early for a scenic journey south across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its alpine architecture and snow-capped roofs. We then pause in the Azrou Cedar Forest to see the playful wild Barbary Macaque monkeys in their natural habitat.

The landscape transforms dramatically as we descend into the Ziz Valley, a vast canyon lined with thousands of date palm trees. By late afternoon, we reach the golden dunes of Merzouga.

The Highlight: You will mount your camel for a magical sunset trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. As the sun dips below the horizon, you will arrive at your Luxury Desert Camp for a night of Berber drumming, a delicious feast, and sleeping under a canopy of stars.

  • Overnight: Private Tent in a Luxury Desert Camp.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate

We recommend an early wake-up to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, we leave the desert and head west to the Todra Gorges.

At Todra, you will walk beneath towering vertical limestone cliffs rising 300 meters high—a paradise for climbers and nature lovers. We continue along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing through the Valley of Roses and the Skoura Oasis.

We arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” where you can see the famous film studios before checking into your hotel.

  • Overnight: Hotel/Riad in Ouarzazate.

Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

On the final day of your tour, we visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a stunning example of earthen clay architecture and has been the backdrop for blockbusters like Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones.

From here, we begin our ascent of the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m). The drive offers spectacular views of terraced Berber villages and mountain peaks.

We descend into the Haouz plains and arrive in Marrakech, the “Red City,” in the late afternoon. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel or Riad, marking the end of your unforgettable 7-day journey through the wonders of Morocco.
